Our story
It started with a notebook nobody was allowed to touch.
In our family, the most valuable thing in the kitchen wasn't the stand mixer or the cast-iron pan. It was a battered notebook - pages soft from flour, corners curled, recipes written in three different handwritings across two generations.
Cooking Something is that notebook, opened up to the world. Every recipe is original: cooked from memory and margin notes, adapted to our taste, and re-tested until we'd happily serve it to the pickiest person at the table. We cook everything - weeknight American comfort food, slow European classics, bright Asian noodles, Latin street food. If it can be cooked, it ends up in the notebook eventually.
House rule №1
Taste it. Then taste it again. The recipe isn't done until it tastes like home.
